Tim Stachowiak
Yup. Me and my peeps in the Big Apple.
Well, I'm formally in the business now. When the call went out to create a QBS ad for the prestigious ADDY 2008 Awards book, management (M.O.M.) needed a model for the company's "election-themed ad." It's a distinct honor to run on the QBS quality ticket. Vote for me . . . errrr Quality Bindery Services that is!
Welcome to my web page!
Here's a pix of my buddy Kyle (left) and I (right) on a day trip during our summer vacation Carnival Cruise to the Caribbean.

August 2010
This has been a busy summer.  Our family went to Bethany Beach De with some good friends in June.  We saw guys catching sharks on the beach, rode in a pontoon boat, swam in the ocean (where I lost my glasses in the waves! - thanks to Sterling Optical for helping us out!) and ate lots of great food.  In July I went to Montreal for the RSMC boys camp where we develope our singing as well as have a lot of fun playing sports, games, swimming and eating.  The food was great this year.  Then in August our choir went to Camp Pioneer for a week where we reheased each day, played games in the afternoon, swam in Lake Erie and held services each evening for the rest of the camps members.  We all had a lot of fun.  We also sang in Toronto at St. Michaels for their services on Sunday.  My passport has gotten a lot of use lately.  Now it is almost back to school where I will be a Jr. this year.  Our school - Olmsted at Kensington is being renovated so we will be at Scool 11 on Poplar street.  Should be an adventure.  Oh and I did play a lot of games on the computer this summer too.

February 2010
Well I finally made it to the Men's choir at St. Paul's Cathedral.  It's about time!  I am singing Tenor and still testing my voice through the changes, but it is going well.  It is cool being one of the guys.  I am on the swim team at Olmsted at Kensington High School.  We finally won a few meets this year swimming up against Juniors and Seniors at the other Buffalo schools.  Our school is so new it only goes up the 10th grade.  But we have held our own.  I still swimming the breast stroke and the front crawl along with working on the IM for next year.  Several of our team started in the STAR program at the Flickenger Center so we can improve for next year.  School is great - yeah, I am a nerd.  I really like school - the classes, teachers and of course my friends.  I am taking a lot of AP courses this year along with Math at UB. And no I don't have my license yet, even though I turned 16 in December, but hopefully in the Spring.  Mom, Dad, can I get a car???????????

January 2009
Can you believe it.  I am still in the choir at 15!  My voice hasn't changed, yet. . .  so I continue to enjoy the activities that the choir participates in.  I was selected to sing with the Amherst Symphony Orchestra this Christmas season for their production of the Snowman.  It was my first solo in a non church setting and it was very exciting.  I even got paid for the gig!  We are also participating in "From the Top" this spring on WNED and with the Buffalo Philharmonic.  I am sure my mom will have more details if you are interested.  I am taking a Math course at UB called, UB math which is very interesting considering I am still in High School.  I continue to swim on the team at school and we actually won 2 meets this year.  Not bad, considering we compete against Junior and Seniors from the other schools and we only have 8th and 9th grades this  year.  My specialty is the breast stroke.  Look out Michael Phelps!
For upcoming events that the choirs are participating in, check the website out at www.stpaulscathedral.org and look for the sub heading "music"

My other notes. . . .
January 2007
- If you have called our shop lately after 3pm in the afternoon, most likely I have been the one answering the phones.  I hope I have helped you out with your call.   If so, be sure to tell my mom.  I am trying to get a raise!!!
I have been pretty busy what with school, choir, piano lessons, the cross country and bowling with my dad.  My average is 117.  My mom says it's the Stachowiak blood!!!  I also tried out for the Sound of Music at the Riveria theatre.  Keep your fingers crossed!  We have some great concerts coming up at the Cathedral, so be sure to check out the link below to the schedule.  We are even singing with the Philharmonic Orchestra this year and traveling to Pittsburg for a concert.  I LOVE traveling.  Next year we are going to Germany and Austria.  That will be a blast.

June 2006 - It is almost the end of another school year. Next year I will be in 7th grade.  My mom would say "Time sure flies".  I have been helping out in the bindery after school answering the phones, sending faxes and running messages back to the shop.  I even get paid, but not enough for a new game system!!!  I am looking forward to the summer vacation.  I will be going to Zoo camp, Baseball camp - oh yeah, our team the Twins (my dad is the coach) is in 2nd place this year.  We have always been in last place since I was 5!!! So this is pretty cool.  And I am going to a Choir camp in Wilkes Barre Pa.  They even have computers and games there.  This is going to be a great summer.

March 2006   Wow!  It has been a long time since I have written to you.  Lots of things have been happening.  I am now in 6th grade, the Assistant Head Chorister in the Choir, our baseball team lost bad this year, but we had a great time (our coach is my dad Chuck), and, oh yeah, we went to Europe for 2 weeks with the Choir!  It was a great time.  The plane had individual TV's in the seats, we saw Big Ben and the Mono Lisa (very small picture by the way), climbed up the Eiffel Tower, ate great food, sang in amazing places and had a great time with my friends.  And we even lost our passports and had to stay on in France for another day.  It was cool.  My mom wants me to tell you about the Silent Auction and Spirit Tasting fundraiser coming up April Fool's Day at the Peaarl Street Grill.  The parents put this on to raise money for uniforms, money and future trips.  Tickets at $25.00 each and they promise you will have a really good time.  You can call my mom at 883-5185 if you are interested in coming or if you would like to donate something.  anyway, that is it for now.  I will be back next month to tell you about my trip to NYC to sing at St. Thomas Cathedral with the choir.  I love plane rides.

January 2005  It is a new year and with it exciting things are happening to my friends & I in the choir.  My buddy Mike Gorham and myself were just made Senior Choristers which is a step away from Head Chorister - in other words the Boss.  You can imagine how proud our parents are.  The adults are finalizing the plans for our trip to England and France this summer (7/15-8/3) and they just got word that we will be singing at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris!!!  Do you think we will see the Hunchback there? Anyway, we are pretty excited about going.  I hope you can attend some of the fund raising events we are planning. They sound like a lot of fun, and remember, it is tax deductible!

October 2004  My new season has begun as a member of the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir of Men & Boys.  We started out the year with an overnight retreat at Christ The King Seminary - we had a blast!  We even got to go to Viddlers in East Aurora.  We sang and learned a lot in just two days!  This year I am a Wilson Chanter which is just 2 steps away from head chorister.  You can imagine how my mom is dealing with this news!!!I hope you will be able to come and see us sing sometime.  Talk to you soon!

Summer 2004  School is out and summer is almost over, but I have been having a blast.  I go to Zoo Camp most of the summer - we play games, do arts and crafts, check out the animals, put on plays and even learn something in the process.  This year I took a week off and went to a baseball camp run by a scout from the Pittsburg Pirates.  It was really cool and I learned a lot.  If you see something at your kids school about the Gold Glove Baseball camp, sign them up and maybe I will see them there next year.  My mom and dad are working hard at the bindery, but can always use some more work, so call or stop in and see them.  If you are there after 3 p.m., you might even get a chance to shake my hand.

September 2003  Well, Quality Bindery and I turn 10 years old this year.  This is a big one!  Since I’ve grown up in the shop with my Mom and Dad and everyone—they thought it would be cool to give me a web page too.  It’ll be like my column in the newsletter.  Plus I will have cool stuff on my page like the bat and phone at the bottom--since my God-Mom, Aunt Sue, does the layout. Heh, it’s who you know!  Thank you for reading, Timmy.  P.S. I love baseball.

Spring 2003  At my Mom’s award dinner I sure saw how you guys talk a lot . . . but they keep telling me a “sample” is worth a thousand words—whatever that means.  It’d be great if you’d send a sample along with your job!  Thank you. Timmy

Summer 2002  With school out I could really use a bigger allowance for playing and buying pop and all this summer.  Sooooo, if you bring Mom and Dad more work, I might be able to earn a few $ by helping around here.  Just a little bit of course!  I am still a kid you know.  Thank you very much, Timmy

Winter 2001  Now that I’m in the second grade my printing is getting pretty good, huh?  You could help us out by printing out your order on our new Order Form when you don’t use a PO or your own form.  Guess it helps keep things from getting messed up  . . . I think my job is done here. Thank you very much, Timmy

Spring 2001  Many of you might have folding machines at your place.  But do you have cool stuff like . . . a perfect binder, a fugitive glue "gook" machine, a thing that can make round corners on 2 to 4 corners of a book, a nifty wire-o machine that's great for calendars or cookbooks, a folder that can make itty-bitty instructions for games and toys . . . speaking of games . . . I think my job is done here.  Thank you very much, Timmy

Early Winter 2001  Send us your email address! The people who work at night (while you and I are sleeping) can email you that your job is done, how many skids there are, and how much it weighs.  In the morning you'll know right away what's going on.  Thank you very much, Timmy  P.S. Am I a s'kid?

Fall 2000  My teachers tell me to write up my homework.  My Mom & Dad say your homework is sending job instructions & POs with your jobs.  Hope you get a good grade too!  Thank you very much, Timmy.
